about us
Why a house church?
The earliest followers of Jesus met in homes. They shared meals. They prayed. They read the Scriptures together and looked after one another. It was small, local, and unhurried — and it changed the world.
We're not against larger churches. We've been shaped by them, and we're grateful. But we sense a quiet call to something simpler: a few families and friends, learning to be the church together, week by week, in homes we already live in.
What we believe
We hold to the historic Christian faith — one God, Father, Son, and Spirit; the Scriptures as our authority; the gospel of Jesus as good news for the whole of life. We're not trying to invent something new. We're trying to recover something old.
What we hope it looks like
- A shared meal every time we gather.
- Scripture read aloud, then discussed openly.
- Prayer for one another and for our neighborhood.
- Communion taken at the table.
- Generosity that meets real needs.
- Leadership that's plural, accountable, and unhurried.
What we are not
We're not anti-institutional, and we're not trying to be edgy. We're not a small group hoping to grow into a Sunday service. We're not a Bible study with snacks. We are — or are trying to become — a church: a community of people committed to Jesus and to one another, gathered around a table.
Where we are
We're at the beginning. No building, no budget, no branding beyond a simple logo and this page. Just an invitation. If you've been longing for something like this — even if you can't quite name it — the next step is a conversation over coffee.
